John will discuss emerging issues for Firms that have employees (all of us!), including new “employer” principles, new wage-hour thresholds, and new ways to harass or discriminate against employees. The session will discuss the new NLRB joint employer rules, issued this Spring, and their ripple effect on wage and hour and discrimination claims. John will also mention the imminent revival, in modified form, of the FLSA minimum-salary test, and focus on some EEOC enforcement priorities now that #MeToo has been around for a while. Questions and anecdotes welcomed.
